We give you power, The Tesla Power Wall, to be exact
May 24th 2016 will go down as an historic day for Joju as we installed our first residential Tesla Power Wall. Launched in May 2015 by Elon Musk the Tesla Power wall is a home battery that charges using electricity generated from solar panels, or when utility rates are low, (ML: Maybe future models which are AC, the one we installed was DC connected so will only charge up via the panels)and powers your home in the evening. Automated and compact Powerwall enables the owner to maximise self-consumption of solar power generation. Not only is it high power and efficient but as one would expect with a Tesla product it is high design too. It looks space age and genuinely just looks cool…we think so anyway.
Yesterday we installed our first Power Wall to residential customer Glenn and Mark, our Project and Maintenance Manager, documented the whole thing. So here is a little photo blog of our first installation.
