Solar PV didn't require any major alteration to the house structure.
Challenge: The main challenge was to provide the customer with a strengthened roof capacity and minimal hassle installation whilst giving the maximum generation from the solar PV system.
Solution: Jiffy hangers were used to tie the rafters to the purlin, this increased the structural capacity of the roof minimising the effects of wind lift.
A reduction not only on energy bills but also on Neil's carbon footprint of over 1.7 tonnes of CO2 per year!
