Challenge: To fit the maximum capacity system on limited roof space available whilst minimising the effects of shading. The aim was to build a system which would generate the most energy over the year.
Solution: We used highly efficient monocrystalline and thin film hybrid panels. We modelled the effects of shading in our solar simulation software to create the most efficient design allowing us to achieve a 4kWp capacity system.

The generation was much higher than predicted in PVGIS & SAP despite the shading. Using two inverters allowed the system to work for longer during the day and produce more electricity.
