Challenge: The challenge was to fit the panels into a very tricky and small v-shaped roof space.
Solution: Joju Solar is used to working with very tight spaces found on many London roofs. We firmly believe that you don't need a perfect roof to get real benefit from going solar. Because we are not tied to a single panel or inverter provider we can find the right size panels and inverters to fit almost any roof.
We have been trying to reduce the carbon footprint of our house, which is not always easy because it is a listed building which limits the changes we can make. The roof is a bit of an awkward shape, and not what you would choose to fit solar panels to – but it is the only one we had. Despite the problems, JoJu were able to design and fit a set up that doesn’t spoil the original features or look of the house, and is providing a decent chunk of our electricity. Added to the solar thermal we already had for our hot water, it will make a real difference to our bills – and our carbon footprint
