About the installation: This project was a series of retrofit installations on a pub conversion housing development. The property was converted into 4 flats, with total installation of 12kWp across 8 arrays as a mixture of flat roof, pitched imitation slate roof and building integrated facade systems.

Challenges: The challenge in this work was to ensure that the PV installation was delivered within a strict time scale so as to meet the schedule of the wider retrofit project. The project management of staff time and punctual completion of the work meant that the solar installations were seamlessly integrated into the wider projects, with no overruns or disruptions to the overall project schedule.

Installation specifics: The installation was carried out by a single team (2 roofers and 1 electrician). Each property required a specific technical installation plan. Unusually, the system design in this case resulted in the installation of three different inverters per property to maximise the yield from each property.
