Challenge: To retrofit a 1kW photovoltaic (PV) energy system to the roof of a period property, within the agreed time scales and budget. To carry out the project paying due respect to the existing roof of this period property. The deign of the system must conform with local planning constraints for conservation areas.

Solution: Joju Solar were required to retrofit the photovoltaic (PV) energy system to the existing tiled roof of this period property. The project grew in scale during the build phase at the request of the customer. He decided to opt for a 5kW system, instead of the agreed 1kW. Joju Solar redesigned the system in conjunction with the customers wishes with minimum impact to the overall project. The system was designed to comply with the constraints of a conservation area and obtained planning permission on behalf of the client.
